Greetings to all in the name of God. Mar Thoma School Maharashtra was started in 1982 by the members of Mar Thoma Syrian Church, Chembur. The school was started with a vision to educate and support the children living in the surrounding areas of the church. It was a humble beginning with 12 students in the primary section, which has now grown out to a school teaching over 1500 students, including RTE students. This could be achieved by the continuous support of Teachers, Staff, Parents, the School Governing Council and the Mar Thoma Syrian Church Chembur who had upheld the Vision of the Church to empower the Society by Education.
The School Governing Council elected by the Church upholds the mission of empowering society through education. The School currently has Classes from Pre-Primary to Xth standard and dream to take it further upto XIIth. The School follows the Maharashtra State Board Syllabus based on NCERT. The Governing Council with the help of the Manager/President Rev. Genil Abraham takes care of the smooth functioning of the school.
The School has well-qualified and dedicated teachers from Pre-Primary to Xth standard working tirelessly to teach students by sharing their knowledge with a focus to empower the students who are the citizens of tomorrow. The School focuses on the overall development of its students complete with arts, sports and Co-Curricular activities with regular education. At the same time, we expect the students to be well-mannered and disciplined and Parents should also take initiative in this matter as they have a major role to play in building the citizens tomorrows for our Great Country. Regular PTA meetings help in improving ourselves.
As Secretary of Mar Thoma School Maharashtra, I am privileged to be part of this wonderful Institution standing tall since 1982 with strong Alumni. We will do our best to brighten the future of our students with the help of teachers and parents. Our mission is to provide Quality education with the overall development of students by continuous improvement.
I thank you all on behalf of the Governing Council for all the support provided. I expect the same support and Cooperation from all in fulfilling the great vision of empowering society with education.
