BALIKA DIWAS CELEBRATION
Mar Thoma School Maharashtra celebrated Savitribai Phule Jayanti as Balika Diwas on 3rd January 2025. Competitions such as Mehandi drawing and Jewellery making were conducted for girl students. Senior girl students participated in Mehendi Drawing competition and junior girl students participated in Jewellery making competition. The competitions gave them a good platform to showcase their talents.
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION 2024-2025
Christmas was celebrated in Mar Thoma School Maharashtra on 21st December 2024. The celebration began with a prayer, followed by welcome speech. The Honourable Governing Council members graced the occasion. The School Manager Rev. Genil Abraham addressed the students with the special Christmas message. Bible reading, Christmas carols by the school choir and nativity play were the main highlights of the celebration. One of the students played the role of Santa Claus, greeted everyone and distributed sweets. The programme ended with best wishes for the New Year.
ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2024-2025
The Annual sports meet of Mar Thoma School Maharashtra was held on 13th and 14th of December 2024. The sports meet was inaugurated by the chief guest Mr. Mohan Manmode, working as Asst. Professor in MES’ Vidhyadhiraja College of Physical Education and Research, currently pursuing Ph.D in Physical Education.
The sports meet was inaugurated in the presence of the school manager Rev. Genil Abraham, Governing Council Members of the school, School’s Headmistress Ms. Pratibha Doble and all teaching and non-teaching staff, students and parents.
On 13th December there was general salute with band and march past, torch lighting ceremony, presentation of school song by the secondary students, drill display by the pre–primary, primary, secondary section of the school followed by the various sports events of pre–primary and primary divisions of the school.
On 14th December the day started with the oath taking ceremony following the ritual done on the 13th December too. It was the secondary sports events day mainly which concluded with the teacher’s event and the closure of the sports meet for the session 2024 – 2025 with National Anthem.
Teachers and students participated with great energy and enthusiasm celebrating the spirit of fair play, togetherness and integrity.
SCIENCE EXHIBITION - 27th November 2024
CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATION - 14th November 2024
Mar Thoma School Maharashtra celebrated Children’s Day on 14th November 2024. Pre-Primary teachers had arranged fun games for the students of the Pre-Primary section. Primary students had fancy dress competition. Students dressed up as Freedom fighters. Secondary students presented their talents by singing, dancing, presenting a skit etc. All the students enjoyed a lot.
TEACHERS' DAY - 5th September 2024
Teachers’ Day was celebrated by assigning classes to students of Class X who played the role of Teachers for two periods. Then we had a programme in the church organized by the Student Council. The programme began with prayer by honourable school manager Rev. Genil Abraham, which was followed by group song presented by the students. Our school Headmistress presented a PowerPoint presentation on the topic “Teachers are unsung heroes”. Programme ended with appreciation and felicitation of teachers by school Manager Rev. Genil Abraham.
INDEPENDENCE DAY
Mar Thoma School Maharashtra celebrated 78th Independence Day on 15th August 2024. The programme began with words of prayer by our honourable school manager Rev. Genil Abraham.
In the presence of the honourable members of the school governing council, the tricolour was hoisted by our honourable school manager Rev. Genil Abraham. Students of Std. X (2023 – 2024 batch) were felicitated for their excellent performance in the board exam.
The day observed a spectacular presentation by the secondary students of the school in the form of a skit and patriotic song.
INVESTITURE CEREMONY
The investiture ceremony at Mar Thoma School Maharashtra was held with great enthusiasm and pride on 5th July 2024 for secondary students and 27th July 2024 for primary students.
The programme began with the words of prayer by our honourable school manager Rev. Genil Abraham. The newly elected council members were honoured with badges and sashes and the responsibility of maintaining discipline in the school.
Orientation
Orientation cum workshop was conducted for all the teachers on 6th June 2024 in the presence of Honourable Members of Governing council. Orientation was conducted by Honourable Manager Rev. Genil Abraham. The programme began with a prayer followed by singing a song and a presentation.
The teachers actively participated and enjoyed the activities conducted in the workshop. The programme ended with a delicious lunch sponsored by the management.
